Swearing on television

Posted by Eskimo-Pok Apr. 22, 2008 @ 3:01 AM EDT

So the other day i was watching Gordon Ramsay on 60 minutes, who we all know is a swearing enthusiust when he's in the kitchen. So when he was being interviewed they journalist told him that there is a parlimentary enquiring on his t.v show becuase of it's excessive swearing, he said that Australia is known for it's swearing and it's not like people arent going to swear out in the real world, parents should stop babying their children so much, which i agree 100%.
It says that they had recieved numerous amounts of complaints from parents complaining about his swearing.
What i don't understand is that the time in which his show is on t.v is an adult time slot, ADULT not child ADULT so if parents are complaining about their kids hearing the workd "FUCK" literally every 30 seconds on t.v, they should just change the channel or not watch the fucking show, anyways theres a shitload more shows with swearing, sexual references, viloence and all sorts of crap on earlier time slots. Fuck if anyhting the Simpsons would set a worse example for kids, it's got sexual references, violence, suicide attempts and alchohol abuse.
(By the way i i reckon The Simpsons is one of the best shows every created.)

Whats wrong with the word "fuck" anyway, it's probably the most useable word in the english language, i.e "FUCK off!" "i can't be FUCKed do work" "who the FUCK are you?" "i want to FUCK her" that's FUCKing bullshit" "you look like FUCK" and the list goes on...
So maybe next time a parent wants to complain about a word they should probably just change the channel and get over it.
